14th of April's assignment

Today's assignment requires student to write a post about their hope and aspiration. The title of their post is HOPE. Students are required to discuss on:

1) Your hope and aspiration for this year. What do you hope to achieve by the end of this year and why?

2) You hope and aspiration for next year. What do you hope to do next year and why?

3) Your hope and aspiration for the years to come. What do you hope to do or be in the near future. Explain why you want to what you hope to do.

4) Your hope in your life. What do you want to achieve in your entire life. What significance you want to bring to this world. Explain why and how you want to achieve.

5) Is your hope just a hope or will it be reality?

Hope is a strong word but hope will only remain a hope if no action is taken to realise your dream. Write away and hope you discover something in you today that will propel you to success. Enjoy

First Hurdle

The first hurdle to help students to start blogging was to help them to create an email account in google. As students lack the exposure to the language of internet, it is a tedious task to help the students to fill up the 'form' for a new google account. However, after hours of patience and preserverance, most students were able to start blogging. As the computer labs lack the amount of computers for all students, 2 students have to share a computer and hence one blog. This is actually useful as students can engage in communicative and collaborative learning.

The students are finally on their way to post their first post. It is hoped that this effort can be continued and students will engage in the habit called blogging. I am happy to say that the students have finally jumped over the first hurdle.

Welcome to the writing corner of Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Ungku Husin. The development of this writing corner is to help encourage learners of the English Language to embark on a journey of creativity and ideas. In this writing corner, various students' blogs can be found. It is hoped that, in time, students' blogs will be able to depict various thought, ideas, creativity. Students are hugely encouraged to continously write and publish entries about their everyday life, stories, hobbies, thoughts on various things and various chapters of their lives in their blogs. Students are also encouraged to take responsibility of their own blog and take charge of their own writing and creativity. With this writing corner, it is hoped that students will be able to develop a habit of writing, and also enhance their creativity in developing various, thought provoking ideas throughtout their journey in improving their writing skill.
